Siri AI English Beta Launches; Korean Support Announced for October

On September 14, Apple announced through its official Newsroom that the English beta of the new Siri AI had begun rolling out.[1] Korean support was announced for the following month, rather than as a feature available immediately.[1] Readers following the news as of September 15, Korean time, should distinguish "the new Siri has launched" from "it is already available in Korean."

From Answers to Actions Inside Apps

Apple highlights personal context, onscreen awareness, and the ability to perform actions across apps.[1] It says Siri AI can find information in messages, email, and photos, draft emails, and help edit and share photos.[1]

One official example describes finding a dish to cook from messages exchanged with family, retrieving a recipe from an older email, and adding ingredients to a shopping list in Reminders.[1] Another shows adding home-game dates to Calendar based on a sports team's website displayed onscreen.[1] These are examples presented by Apple, not tasks GamZip has run to verify accuracy.

Apple says the new dedicated Siri app lets users reopen previous conversations and sync conversation history across devices through iCloud.[1] This points toward a conversation window that maintains the context of ongoing tasks, rather than a tool that ends with a single question.

Check Korean Support and Eligibility Separately

The English beta of Siri AI is rolling out gradually on iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, watchOS 27, and visionOS 27. It requires an Apple Intelligence-compatible device configured to a supported language.[1] Apple says Korean, French, Japanese, Portuguese, and Spanish support is planned for the following month.[1] Relative to the announcement date, that means October 2026, but the announcement does not specify an exact date for Korean availability.[1]

There are regional restrictions too. Apple says Siri AI for iOS, iPadOS, and watchOS will not initially be available in the European Union, and Siri AI and other new Apple Intelligence features will not be available in China.[1] An operating system's name alone therefore does not establish that the same features are available on every device and in every region.

Privacy Policies and Usage Limits

According to Apple, the new Apple Foundation Models were custom-developed through collaboration with Google and Gemini models and run on devices and Private Cloud Compute servers.[1] Apple says Private Cloud Compute does not store personal data or make it accessible to Apple or others when processing requests.[1] These are the company's stated design and protection policies; this article has not conducted an independent security assessment.

Apple also states that some features relying on server models, including Siri AI, have daily usage limits, and that it plans to offer paid access for expanded usage in the future.[1] Specific prices or timelines cannot be established from this announcement alone.[1]

What GamZip Is Watching

The key point in this news is less about "more natural answers" and more about connecting information retrieval to actions in actual apps. To evaluate the convenience, however, we should also consider what users can check and correct when incorrectly retrieved information moves into the next action. Once Korean support begins, accurately maintaining the context of names, schedules, and documents will matter alongside natural conversation.
